I SEE A CRIMSON STREAM OF BLOOD
"In 1920, Bishop G.T. Haywood stayed in his office for about a week. His wife would bring him food to eat and leave it at the door. When she came back later it would be sitting right back where she left it. It is said that next Sunday morning Bishop Haywood walked to the pulpit, lifting up his voice without musical accompaniment and began to sing this song for the first time."
Many years ago, I was told of the story of what happened inside that office door, just before service began...
